Cartagena 2026: Engineering Education That Transforms

Welcome to the World Engineering Education Forum (WEEF) and Global Engineering Deans Council (GEDC) Annual Conference, hosted in the magnificent Caribbean setting of Cartagena de Indias, Colombia! From September 22–25, 2026, the world’s leading engineering educators, deans, industry partners, and researchers will gather for a monumental event. Our core mission is driven by the theme: “Engineering Education that Transforms.” This is more than a title—it’s a statement of purpose dedicated to preparing engineers who actively shape and improve societies.
This year’s conference, proudly hosted by the Colombian Association of Engineering Schools (ACOFI), holds special significance as we celebrate the 20th Anniversary of the International Federation of Engineering Education Societies (IFEES). Join us to share best practices in pedagogical innovation, integrate social responsibility and ethical frameworks into curricula, and explore strategic partnerships that are essential for future growth. Come connect with global thought leaders, discover cutting-edge solutions, and contribute to the next generation of excellence in engineering education.
